    As people are looking for ways to improve the economy in their area and promote new jobs, a new bill is being proposed for Western Massachusetts which includes the area of Hampshire, Franklin, Berkshire, and Hampden. This bill is to introduce resort casinos to the area which is expected to improve the economy dramatically. At the moment the Mohegan Sun is prepared to develop a casino to its Palmer’s resort. The main aspect to consider is to show a great deal of support for the resort casino, and residents are asked to do so until the bill is passed, otherwise they stand a chance of being forgotten.     Jobs in the cruise industry are picking up as construction began on the new Cairns cruise terminal which is being built in number 3 wharf shed. The Premier, Andrew Fraser had the honor of turning the first sod on the site, and with the $ 11 million contract being awarded to Hutchinson Builder, operating out of Cairns for the last 13 years, the build is expected to be a good one. The best part about the building of the new cruise terminal is that 84 jobs are being awarded in the construction side of things as the build progresses.
