Recently, Tharwa, the oil and gas company have discovered oil in Egypt in the Eastern Desert in the West Esh El Mallah area. Currently the production level is expected to be 1300 barrels a day. British Airways are busy building an energy plant that hopes to produce jet fuel out of wastage and this is expected to create up to 1200 airline jobs within the first 2 years. BA says that the plant, to be located in east London, will produce two percent of the amount of fuel needed to fly from London Heathrow, whilst from London City it will produce twice the amount. There are 500 000 tons of waste that can be used every year to make about 16 million gallons of fuel.
