High Tech Jobs in Solar Energy Up for GrabsOn the 13th August 2010, there will be a job fair held in New Paltz where a group of Solar Energy Companies will be looking to fill about 100 high tech jobs. The Solar Energy Consortium will be held at the Terrace Restaurant at the New Paltz University Campus, where together with the Labor Department, and various employment offices, the 12 companies taking part will be screening the best candidates for the jobs and offering training. New $1.2 Billion Home for Delta at JFK AirportJFK International Airport will be getting a makeover in its Delta Airlines Terminals, it was announced by Delta Airlines and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey on Thursday. Virgin America to Expand its Fleet to 90 Resulting in...At a time when airlines are still cutting back, Virgin America is planning to expand its fleet from 28 to 90 by the year 2016 allowing more airline jobs to be created. According to the announcement made on the 22nd July, the company has ordered 40 new Airbus A320 aircraft which are going to be delivered in groups of 10 per year from 2013 to 2016 with 20 additional aircraft possibly joining the fleet in 2017 and 2018. North Sea Boom to Create New Oil JobsAccording to Oil and Gas UK, there have been new oil fields discovered in the once thought to be depleted North Sea. These fields have sparked hope for many Oil companies in the UK, specifically those involved in the production of oil rigs. There are about 70 new oil fields that Jim Masterton of McNulty Offshore plans to operate, but he warns that other UK companies need to jump on the oil boom while they can and cash in on the £6 Billion that will be put into the oil boom off the coast of Scotland. Largest Halibut of the Season Caught in AlaskaOn a small charter, during the Homer (Alaska) Halibut Derby, a Grand Rapids man, Mark Hilts caught the biggest fish so far of the season weighing in at 273.2 Pounds. This giant was 83 inches in length and will see Mr Hilts winning the jackpot which currently stands at $40,000.
