in Cruise Jobs, Hospitality Jobs

Renowned British chef, Marco Pierre White, made famous by his hit show Hell’s Kitchen, will be travelling on board the Ventura Cruise Ship throughout 2009, it has been announced. The Hell’s Kitchen star began his cooking career more than 17 years ago and was the youngest chef to receive 3 Michelin stars, only recently surpassed. His unique style and excellent food have allowed him to work in many of the top restaurants and hotels in Britain, before he opened many of his own restaurants including the White Room on board the Ventura which was launched in 2008. Marco Pierre White has said that he will hold plenty of private cooking courses on board the ship as he wants to pass on his passion for food to others.

This is a first for him, and for P&O Cruises, this is a great opportunity for their passengers. The Ventura is the largest of their current fleet at 113000 Gross Tonnage. The other cruise ships that you can find chef jobs on board with P&O are the Arcadia, Artemis, Aurora, Oceana, and the Oriana. There is a new cruise liner under construction at the moment and due to be launched in 2010. It is called the Azura and will exceed the Ventura at 116000 Gross Tonnage.
