In November 2009, South Africa’s only cruise liner company, Starlight Cruises, will launch the newest member of its fleet, the luxury MSC Sinfonia. This will be the largest luxury cruise liner to operate out of South Africa and will set sail on its maiden voyage from Durban to the islands and coasts around the Indian Ocean including Madagascar and Mozambique. The Sinfonia boasts 778 cabins, of which 138 have private balconies, and there are also many luxury facilities for passengers to enjoy. This also provides plenty of new cruise jobs in the three restaurants, seven bars, spa, business center, fitness center, 2 pools, internet café, cigar room, disco, golf simulator, teen club, library, mini club, and medical center.

These facilities mean that there will be hundreds of new hospitality jobs, travel jobs and more. You can work on this cruise ship as a chef, steward, deckhand, doctor, children’s activity manager, entertainer, massage therapist, beautician, sports trainer, fitness instructor, housekeeping, hotel management, and much more. Everyone is catered for on the Sinfonia, which means that no matter what skill set you possess, and no matter what industry you are involved in, there could be a job opening for you. To learn about how to apply for cruise ship employment on board luxury cruise liners like this one, you can visit the Cruise Job Finder website today. The introduction of the MSC Sinfonia will also dramatically increase the revenue for the Port of Durban and significantly increase the number of travel jobs and other hospitality jobs in the area. The annual capacity for Durban is expected to increase during the 2010/2010 season by about 70000 passengers, which will open up plenty of additional job opportunities in tourism, such as tour guides, instructors, waitrons, barmen, hotel staff and more. Along with that various suppliers in Durban would also benefit greatly.
