The City Administrator, Chris Eldridge, has also mentioned that if the port could be dredged to bring in about 3 million tons of cargo each year, this would create about 250 jobs. Another opportunity is the building of the Boeing Co plant in North Charleston which is expected to also create high paying jobs.
