This move is expected to create about 100 airline jobs in Avalon, and the potential for many more across the region, as this announcement has encouraged the airport’s plans for growth starting with a $10 million terminal upgrade. This news was supported by Linfox Airports’ CEO, David Fox, as he told the media that Melbourne would no longer be dominated by a monopoly airline. It was also welcomed by the Minister of Trade and Industry, Jacinta Allan.
