in Sports Jobs

South Africa, reaching the middle of summer, is starting its major international sporting season with world renowned events like the Argus Cycle Tour and the Two Oceans Marathon in Cape Town. The Argus Pick ‘n Pay Cycle Tour is being held on the 8th March 2009 and although online entries for international entrants have closed, international visitors can still enter in South Africa at the Cape Argus Lifecycle Expo on the 5th to the 7th March. There are many sports related jobs up for grabs not only on race day, but for the Expo and any other pre planning. You could get a job as a marshal, dealing with sponsorships for a team, oganizing displays at the Expo, and working in the broadcasting side of things.

The Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon is another popular event in Cape Town with international marathon runners flocking to the Mother City at this beautiful time of year. The race is on the 11th April this year and this is the 40th anniversary of the event. It also offers lots of sporting jobs come race day, as well as during the build up to the event. Marketing, broadcasting, advertising, sponsors and much more are involved. Beside the Ultra Marathon there is also a Half Marathon, and a Fun Run that you can be involved in.
