British Airways are busy building an energy plant that hopes to produce jet fuel out of wastage and this is expected to create up to 1200 airline jobs within the first 2 years. BA says that the plant, to be located in east London, will produce two percent of the amount of fuel needed to fly from London Heathrow, whilst from London City it will produce twice the amount. There are 500 000 tons of waste that can be used every year to make about 16 million gallons of fuel. This will help the environment greatly, as it will prevent a huge amount of waste from going to the landfill. This normally produces methane gas which is said to be more potent and damaging a greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide. United States company, Solena Group, has agreed to build the energy plant and BA has agreed to buy...

With the terrible falling share prices in 2009, things are finally looking up for United Airlines and their parent company UAL Corp. Recent passenger unit revenue rose by 9.5 percent and this is good for the entire industry. At one point United Airlines, the largest airline in the country dropped to below the industry standard. What this did was make people think that the entire industry was falling. This was also more evident as United Airlines was the most prominent international premium business class carrier. When you look at the passenger unit prices you will see that they have been increasing steadily since there was the possibility of the industry sinking. This would not have been allowed to happen and the investors started pumping more money into the airlines. With the various boos...
